"We do a lot of residential re-roofing on the south side of Brisbane and the boys were always wrestling with the ladder on steep-pitch jobs. Lock Jaw went on every ladder and the difference was immediate — safer, faster, and the gutters don't get marked."

Common Questions

Roofer FAQs

Will it damage my client's Colorbond guttering?
No. Lock Jaw uses rubber-padded clamps on all contact points. It grips firmly without scratching or denting Colorbond, zincalume, or aluminium gutters — not suitable for PVC or plastic gutters. It can also be paired with the Lock Jaw Gutter Protector accessory for additional protection.
Does it fit Queensland quad gutters and fascia profiles?
Lock Jaw fits the vast majority of standard Australian guttering profiles — including quad, fascia, and ogee gutters across all states. The adjustable clamp spans most common residential and light commercial gutter widths.
Does this satisfy my WHS obligation to secure the ladder?
Lock Jaw directly addresses the requirement in WHS Regulation 306 and the Safe Work Australia Code of Practice to secure ladders against movement. Using it as part of your Safe Work Procedure provides a documented, practical control measure consistent with the hierarchy of controls.
Can I move it quickly between positions on the same job?
Yes. The quick-release design means you can unclamp, reposition, and re-secure in under 10 seconds — ideal for roofing jobs where you're moving around the perimeter repeatedly throughout the day.
