Roofer FAQs
Will it damage my customer's gutters?
Lock Jaw uses rubber-padded clamps on all contact points, designed to grip without scratching, denting or distorting aluminum, steel or copper gutters when correctly fitted. Not for use on plastic or vinyl gutters.
What gutter sizes does it fit?
Lock Jaw fits the vast majority of standard residential and commercial gutters - typically 4" to 6" profiles.
Does it work on steep-pitch roofs?
Yes. Lock Jaw was designed specifically for steep-pitch roof work, where lateral ladder movement is most dangerous. When correctly fitted, the clamping mechanism is designed to help reduce lateral ladder movement.
Can I move it quickly between placements?
Absolutely. The quick-release design lets you unclamp, reposition and re-secure in under 10 seconds - ideal when you're working around the perimeter repeatedly.
What ladders is it compatible with?
It fits ladder rails up to approximately 2" (50 mm) wide and works with K-style and traditional gutters. It is not designed for fixed metal leaf guards.
How fast is shipping?
Orders ship quickly from within the USA, so you're protected on the very next job - not weeks from now.

Secure in
Three Steps
Position
Place the ladder against the gutter and position Lock Jaw over the gutter, with the bar behind the ladder rail.
Clamp
Open the handle, position the jaws firmly under the gutter lip, then push the handle down until it clicks securely into place.
Secure
Adjust the bar assembly until it sits firmly against the ladder rail. Check that Lock Jaw is fully clamped and the ladder is secure.
Lock the Ladder to the
Gutter Itself
A spotter gets tired. A strap can work loose. Lock Jaw clamps straight onto the gutter in about five seconds with no tools, helping reduce unwanted ladder movement while you work.
